Have you ever found yourself holding back on your style because you're worried about what other people will think? I know I have. I used to be so self-conscious about my fashion choices, and I was always afraid of standing out or being judged. But then I realized something: life is too short to worry about what other people think. If we're not going to be true to ourselves and embrace the things we love now, then when are we going to do it?
My personal style had long leaned into retro 1950s silhouettes and trends but I made the decision to stop worrying about what other people thought and to embrace the vintage styles I loved. And let me tell you, it was liberating. I went on a dress-buying binge and leaned all in on the 1950's + 60's styles I loved. And you know what? I felt great embracing the style I loved and the reactions I do get are overwhelmingly positive!
I used to be self-conscious about my fashion choices, and I was always afraid of standing out or being judged. But then I realized something: life is too short to worry about what other people think.
If you're holding back on your style because you're worried about what other people will think, I encourage you to get out of your own way and let go of that fear. Life is too short to hold back on the things that make us truly happy. So go ahead and embrace your love of vintage style – you won't regret it.
