Universal Pictures unleashed a cinematic marvel that would send shivers down spines and ignite a fascination with the macabre. That marvel was 'Frankenstein,' released in 1931. Directed by James Whale and starring Boris Karloff as the iconic monster, this black-and-white classic brought Mary Shelley's Gothic tale to life like never before. With its eerie laboratory scenes, unforgettable makeup effects, and the haunting presence of Karloff's monster, 'Frankenstein' became an instant classic, laying the groundwork for the horror genre we know today. It's a film that transcends time and remains a must-see for anyone with a taste for vintage horror that's still as electrifying as ever today.
